I sold a book on ebay. Ive sold several of these, they are a unique item and no one else can buy or has these to sell. I sell these from the UK and postage is normally via standard Airmail and out of several hundred items i've sold around the world i havent had a single item go missing, not once.
Owen Sweeney (ebay ID: applemacapplemac) purchased the book through ebay on the 24th February, paid for it on the 25th February and the item was mailed to him via USPS on the 27th February. I was in the USA on vacation and had brought 3 copies with me intending to mail them from within the US to buyers who won the auctions while i was here.
The first i knew he hadn't received his book was on the 14th March when he started a paypal claim for non receipt of an item, no email to us , no message to us, just started a paypal claim straight up which puts a hold on the funds. I replied through ebay and my reply and subsequent messages back and forth can be seen in the screen shots from my ebay messages page below:
The very same day i went out and mailed another copy to Mr Sweeney via a USPS tracked service
The book was tracked online and due to arrive on the 16th March, on the 18th i sent the message below:
As you can se above, he had received his replacement book and as far as i was concerned case was closed so i sent the following.
Now fast forward a few weeks and read the newer blog entry above!
